One of Hollywood’s most in-demand celebrity makeup artists, and the go-to face painter for the A–list (Margot Robbie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, Julianne Moore, Eva Mendes – we could go on but the Internet may run out of space) Pati Dubroff has worked her magic on famous faces for decades.
Despite being a pro, she knows how difficult it can be for some women to get their makeup just right, and that while women are really at ease, others may not really know how to apply eyeliner or put on lipstick for longer-lasting results.
To launch Pati’s first Essentials Kit – an Exclusive Collection for BEAUTY PIE – she’s created a series of makeup how to videos (below), to share her expert makeup application tips and advice with enthusiasts of every level.
Pati believes that our makeup should deliver a more polished version of our already beautiful selves (she is not only an absolutely world-class makeup artist, Pati is just a really wonderful human being!) allowing us to feel comfortable and natural.
“Over the years I have found that no matter who I am working with, regardless of age, I always reach for the same type of item to give the most subtle yet polished definition. This kit is an expression of those essentials that I cannot live (or work) without and I hope you will feel the same way when you try them.”
Smart, easy to use, expert-rated and multifunctional – our MAKEUP ESSENTIALS KIT comes packed in a zip around faux-leather makeup case with see-through panel (so you can easily see your products) and is packed with Pati’s favorite luxury makeup formulas and shades, straight from the Italian, French and German labs that make them
Designed to be used in multiple ways – and applied with or without brushes – each of these eight essentials will help you create a look in 10, 20 or 30 minutes, depending on your mood and/or occasion. So, what’s in the kit?
Shade: Doe (cool-toned matte brown)
Pati’s Top Tip: “Used as a long-lasting base layer (to brighten and even out eyelids) or as a subtle cream shadow (to enhance your natural eye shape) –sweep this suits-all–shade along the crease of your eyelid using the SHAPE side of the brush. Use the CONTOUR side of the brush to define your lash line.”
Shade: Bright-Eyed (soft pale pink/cream)
Pati’s Top Tip: “The bone eyeliner pencil is great for brightening the waterline (it makes your eyes look wide awake). Add a touch of extra pencil to the inner corners for even more brightness.”
Shade: Super Black
Pati’s Top Tip: “Pop those lashes with as many coats of mascara as you like (I like to curl lashes first).”
Shade: Sexy Berry (rose pink)
Pati’s Top Tip: “My trick for a cream blush application: smile big and where you see the apples of your cheeks ‘pop’, apply a touch of blush. Use either your fingers or a dense brush to make sure there are no edges.”
Shade: Soft Moonlight (a golden champagne shimmer)
Pati’s Top Tip: “The highlight stick is for anywhere you want a little extra glow. Think tops of cheekbones, centre of the eyelids and a touch to the inner corners of the eyes, brow bones and along the clavicle bones. Apply straight from the stick and blend with your fingertips.”
Shade: Sexy Berry (rose pink)
Shade: Foxy (warm-toned nude pink)
Pati’s Top Tip: “For lips I like to apply the color balm first, then smoosh lips together and press in with a fingertip. I then use the lip pencil to give extra definition to the lip shape and finish off with another swipe of color balm.”
PLUS – all of the above come packed in a deluxe soft pink vegan-leather transparent makeup case (a luxury dust bag is also included). For more expert application tips:
