One of the best things about developing products at Beauty Pie is finding formulas that really blow you away.
We’re not limited by geography, convention or the labs everyone else is already using. If somebody in Japan, Korea, Switzerland, Italy or somewhere completely unexpected is doing something brilliantly, we want to find them.
We scour the globe for specialists. Sometimes they’re big, established names. Sometimes they’re somewhere you could very easily walk straight past.
That’s exactly how we found the Japanese laboratory behind Youthbomb Biologic Collagen Peptide Cream.

We came across them on a tiny stand at a skincare event in Hong Kong. They gave us a bag of tiny sample pots with such reverence that it almost seemed like they were handing over tiny jewels.
And when we tried them - we realised they were. Each little pot was filled with these astonishingly-textured creams.
We tried them and immediately thought: wow.
At the time, we were looking for a new cream in our Youthbomb collection. Like all Youthbombs, we wanted it full of cutting-edge actives. (In fact, more than 18% of the finished Youthbomb Collagen Peptide Cream formula is active ingredients, which is exceptional.
But we also wanted the texture to be beautiful.
Glossy. Moisturising. Cushiony. Rich enough to feel satisfying, but never heavy or cloying.
That combination is much harder than it sounds.
The more you load a formula with high-performance actives, the harder it can become to keep the texture elegant. And for us, there was no point creating something impressive on paper if you didn’t also love putting it on your skin every day.
This Japanese lab understood that balance.
In fact, we became their first European customer.
The result is an intense, luxurious anti-ageing super cream, loaded with active ingredients to help skin look visibly firmer, plumper, brighter and dewier.
It has ER Peptides, an advanced Peptide Amino Acid Complex, tailor-made to help visibly lift and firm skin, as well as soften expression lines and Ume Fruit Extract to soften the appearance of sun damage and minimise accelerated ageing caused by glycation (when sugar molecules bind with skin proteins) and Niacinamide (also known as Vitamin B3). It reduces Trans Epidermal Water Loss to keep skin beautifully hydrated.
And then there’s that base. It’s rich, so a little goes a very long way. Ideal for night time use or in the day if your skin is very dry. It’s a cream I’m very proud of, and a real example of what BEAUTY PIE does best: complicated behind the scenes. Exceptional on your skin.
