…or more specifically, what to smear all over it for real-time repair! If you’ve ever had a Wood’s lamp analysis, you’ll know that it’s a humbling experience whereby a dermatologist shines a black light onto your face, illuminating every bit of damage you’ve accumulated over the years (breakouts, itchy rashes, scars and mostly sun damage). What’s good about it? You can see the damage and start to treat it before it appears on the surface of your skin!
And because we all get a little bit more UV ‘in season’, doubling-up on the sun-damage-fighting, regenerating and antioxidant ingredients in your skincare routine is the right thing to focus on right now. Here’s what Marcia suggests everybody incorporates into a late/post summer skincare routine...
“I’ve been using BEAUTY PIE’s Glycolic Acid Pads followed by the Micro Peeling Super Drops and Retinol Super Booster in the evening and my melasma has definitely faded. I use the Vitamin C capsules in the morning too. I went on holiday and the melasma flared up, so I started with this regime. The first picture [on the left] was the beginning of February. The second picture [on the right] is from July!" Marilouise Bree, BEAUTY PIE member (below).
All are engineered to repair and regenerate sun-damaged, hyperpigmented complexions. Add one, add them all, but apply regularly as a layer in your current skincare routine. Try the Superactive Pure Double Vitamin C & Vitamin E Serum Capsules or SUPER HEALTHY SKIN Daily Vitamin C Defense Serum for that shot of Vitamin C. Or use the Super Retinol High-Dose Booster Treatment for a month for a miraculous, easy, brightening skin overhaul. Apply the multi-acid DR GLYCOLIC Pore-Purifying Glow Toner over your face, neck and chest 3 X a week (or daily if oily / acne-prone) to increase permeation of all of the other actives. Smooth on our Swiss Oxygen Instant Facial Refuelling Mask to reenergize, brighten, clear and clarify skin. And for radiance-boosting, everyday protection, apply our SUPER HEALTHY SKIN Skin Sheer Tinted Oil-Free SPF20 as the last step in your skincare routine every morning. (We’re thinking your skin will look so great, you’ll only need a skin tint, rather than a full foundation.)
Contouring quickly and easily with a natural finish is always the end goal. But how to contour and achieve this? First, choosing the right undertone (cool, warm or neutral) and using a contour shade 2 shades darker than your base. Second, sculpt and shape to compliment your facial structure. Third, highlighting your contour either with a creamy concealer or radiance-boosting product will help define your contour.
